Team
Share connections and queries with your team through your own team server, and run saved tasks on a remote task runner.
Oxys DB Studio works fully on its own. Two optional, self-hosted services add team features:
| Service | What it gives you | Program | Default port |
|---|---|---|---|
| Team server | Team Sharing: shared folders, access levels, invitations, Quick Share | oxysdb-server | 8443 |
| Remote task runner | Saved tasks run on another machine, on demand or on a schedule, without the desktop app open | oxysdb-runner | 8444 |
Both are open source and run on your infrastructure: nothing goes through a vendor service. Deploying them is described in Self-hosting.
Tasks
- Sign in to a team server
- Share in folders with access levels
- Send one item with Quick Share
- Use connections other people shared
- Run tasks on a remote task runner
What stays local
- Your local connections, queries and tasks are never uploaded unless you share them.
- A connection’s password is shared only when you choose Copy credentials for it.
- Your Team Sharing session token and the runner’s access token are kept in the operating system’s credential store, never in a settings file.
- When the team server cannot be reached, local work is unaffected: only the shared parts of My resources wait for the server to come back.
- Sign in to a team serverConnect Oxys DB Studio to your team's server with your e-mail address and password.
- Share in folders with access levelsCreate shared folders, invite colleagues as View, Edit or Manage members, and share connections, queries and tasks.
- Send one item with Quick ShareSend a connection or a query to colleagues, accept or reject what they send you, and filter senders.
- Use connections other people sharedOpen shared connections and accept Quick Share connections safely: what Oxys DB Studio removes from them, and why.
- Run tasks on a remote task runnerSend saved tasks to oxysdb-runner, run them on demand or on a schedule, and choose the runner pool.
