This website

  • No cookies. The site does not set any cookie, so there is no cookie banner.
  • No trackers, no analytics, no advertising. No script measures your visit, and nothing is sent to a third party.
  • No external resources. Fonts, images, scripts and the search index are served from this site itself. Your browser makes no request to any other domain while you read it, including for fonts.
  • Search runs in your browser. The documentation search downloads this site’s own index the first time you use it, and searches it locally. What you type is not sent anywhere.
  • Theme choice. If you choose a light or dark theme with the button in the header, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on your device (key oxys-theme). It is never sent to us. Choosing “follow the system” again removes it, and clearing your browser’s site data does too.
  • Server logs. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (see the legal notice), which processes technical data of each request (such as the IP address, date, requested page and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it against abuse, under its own privacy policy. The publisher has turned on no analytics in Cloudflare and does not receive or keep these logs.

Links to other websites (for example the source code repository) take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

The application

Oxys DB Studio, the desktop application, has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting and no account. It connects only to:

ConnectionWhen
Your databases, directly or through an SSH tunnel or a proxyWhen you connect
Update check (a plain request with no identifier and no cookie)At start-up, if the preference is on; you can turn it off, and an administrator policy can turn it off for everyone
Update downloadOnly when you choose to update
Identity provider for MongoDB OIDC sign-inOnly when you use that sign-in method
The AI provider you configured, with your own keyOnly after you configure it and accept the consent prompt
A team server or task runnerOnly those you configure, usually your own

The optional local MCP server listens on 127.0.0.1 only and is off by default. An offline mode turns every request above off at once, except database connections. Logs, settings and saved queries stay on your computer; reporting an issue writes a folder on your computer and sends nothing by itself.

The complete, reviewed list of every outbound connection, with what is sent, is kept in the repository: docs/privacy.md.
